Does any one have a method for flattening out photo's that have curled up on the ends? these are old WWII brownies photo's etc

Someone here, a couple of years ago, said to dip them in water and lay them flat (on what?? paper towels? Can't remember). He said they're dipped in liquid when being developed so it can't hurt. I tried that with one that I didn't care about and it worked.
I'm glad you asked the question, because I have a lot of family photos that are curled and I may not have the courage to dip them in water! There may be an even safer way.

A warm iron between something like old bed sheets. But becareful not to get too hot or over iron as it could melt or burn.
