Hello,
Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I went to my pending page today only to find it full of red error messages! So I went to eBay directly to list and I get this nice little message stating that we had reached our seller activity limit and we were no longer allowed to list items and we had to send an email directly to eBay safeharbor. All the link did was take me to a simple contact form where we politly asked what we did wrong and asked for an urgent solution. After submitting the question it said response time could take up to 48hrs.
Anyone else ever have this happen?
Let me know.

Ron

Never had it happen. Sounds alarming, so let us know how it's resolved. Is there any chance it could be spam or phishing???

The only time I ever saw this was a few years back. Ebay used to advance new sellers a $15.00 loan on their account to pay listing and FVF fees so they could immediately start listing. When you listed enough to accumulate $15.00 in fees, Ebay would send that message and you would have to send them a money order for the fees, or post a credit card before they would let you list any more. The email they sent was self explanatory, so I can't imagine why they restricted you. Maybe you were making too much money and they wanted to let the rest of us have a chance to catch up ?

is it WE or just You??
Back 10 years ago when 20,000 items on Ebay is a big deal, folks will all come home in the evening and list and list and exceeded Ebay capacity,a message will say 'thanks for your enthusiasm,we cant take any more listing '

The $15 limit is ONLY if you don't have a credit card or direct debit set up for that selling account. What you may have run into is what's called a velocity limit. It prevents too many (high-value) listings in a short time - to limit the damage by potential fraudsters. Once you have a track record - you're free to list as much as you can afford... much like the casino system

You are on a restriction. There are a few reasons you get there. One is for being behind in your ebay payments. Another is listing forbidden items and relisting them when ebay cancels the listing. Linking within your auctions can put you on the list as well. Referring to your website or any website other than ebay can. These are just a few.

You should be able to log into your "My Ebay" and find out why.

I just had the smae thing happen to me. I had listed a book about Hitler and then to top it off someone broke into my Vendio site and listed an auction. Ebay shut them down. Then I had a lot of red error alerts. I went to live help in the upper right had corner of the main page of Ebay. Upshot of it was I changed my ebay and paypal passwords, and reinstated my credit card. I was then sent to a second party, they called me to make sure I was really me.. then it was fixed.. Gee Whiz.. Sets you back some. azcomebuy
