Fascinating! I checked on Amazon to see if there's going to be a paperback edition; no news yet. There's one review of the book there, a single paragraph by someone who went to school with this guy and says why give money to this crook? Maybe I'll get my library to order it in.

He's going to use the royalties from the book to pay the crooked lawyer that kept him out of jail. Unless he can come up with a scheme to screw the lawyer out of his fees.

I remember the auction & the painting with the "convenient" tear right near the signature. If I recall correctly he said he bought it at a yard sale & his "wife" told him to get it out of the house. That's when he put it in the garage where his "son' ran into it with his tricycle.

Except he wasn't married.

I read the excerpt, so good I am tempted to buy the book.
Best price so far is buy.com 12.84 + postage

McJane...Buy the book. Photocopy it several times and list the copies on Ebay at five bucks each. It would be interesting to see what Ebay does when he tries to VERO your auctions. I bet Meg would buy the first copy.

I thought we had a law in this country where a criminal could not profit from selling the story of his crimes. Oh wait, he wasn't convicted, so he doesn't qualify, but the book IS listed in the true crimes category.

Interesting that in closed auctions one sold for $38 and the other ended early due to an "error" in listing. Yeah, I bet the error was that he could not get a high enough bid!

Since he is offering free shipping , I hope all of his books sell for $1. But then we know they won't. SOMEBODY (ie:himself) will be shillin the auctions.

Just might do that.

This book will be a text book on how to cheat, forge & make money on eBay now that you'll know what NOT to do.
