The latest way for ebay to bring in more trash sellers....
The nationwide search is on for families who will be chosen to take part in an exciting new interactive ABC primetime series. Do you know someone who is looking to fulfill a personal dream, but does not have the financial means to attain it? Do they have a closet, attic or basement full of “hidden treasures”, items that they are willing to place for sale on eBay? If so, then the American viewers may literally be able to make these dreams come true.
The selected families, with the help of our team of experts, will be asked to identify possessions of worth that they would be willing to put up for auction on eBay. When the bidding comes to a close, the grand total will be tallied and the funds raised will be used to make the family’s dream come true!
There are many items sold on eBay. A sample list follows:
Baseball card/Comic book/coin collections
Grand Pianos, guitars and rare musical instruments
Vintage and current designer clothing/handbags/jewelry
Antique/Vintage doll houses
Classic cars/motorcycles/tractors
Sailboats/speedboats
Recreational vehicles, ATV’s, jet ski’s, snowmobiles etc.
Antique Tiffany/Art Deco items
Original art/ceramics/china
Signed sports memorabilia
Presidential signatures
Jukeboxes/pinball machines/other electronics
Antique wall clocks
Original Native American items
Fossils and artifacts
No dream is too quirky, exciting or outrageous and we are focused on finding families that have fun and attainable goals and wishes. PLEASE NO HOME OR PERSONAL MAKEOVERS AND NO SURGERIES. Some examples of great wish ideas are listed below, but are not limited to:
Dreams of Travel (Traveling to China to become a fighting Monk, flying across the country in a hot air balloon)
Restoration Projects (Classic cars, sail boats, tractors, etc.)
Educational dreams (Scholarships, etc.)
Reunions with long-lost loved ones
Community Projects (Renovating the clock tower, filling the town square’s fountain, etc.)
Adventure Goals (Climbing a mountain, swimming the English Channel, driving a race car, running with the bulls, etc.)
Environmental restoration projects (planting trees in the rainforest, helping protect an endangered species)
Save the Co. (Helping to save a company or factory from closing)
The sky is the limit when it comes to the dreams that we will consider, so the more creative and imaginative the dream the better. Also, these lists are to be used as suggestions and in no way represent what we are looking for specifically.

This going to be a reality TV show? Would be funny but kinda hoky in my humble opinion. Now if they want to pit several people against each other and let them fight over what they get to sell now that would be worth a beer and an armchair cussing.
All that wishing stuff be bogus anyway.
What you mean by trash sellers? My trash may just be someone's prized treasure. Besides that is how ebay got started selling used stuff not mainly new stuff.

Agitprop...At one time, there were many sellers using WebTv to launch their auctions, including many powersellers. When AW started making extensive use of javascript in their listing pages, most of these sellers surfaced. Many of the threads in the services section dealt with workarounds to be able to continue using WebTv for their Ebay businesses. AW/Vendio made the decision a few years ago to discontinue support for WebTv. Sure made a lot of sellers unhappy. I believe there is still a way that an auction can be launched to Ebay via Vendio. It would have to be through the Legacy version if you can still find it, and it's not something you'd want to do unless you made a dumb barroom bet with someone.

I started selling on eBay 8 years ago with WebTv and made a lot more money than I do now. Back then I put on 10 items a day and all 10 sold. I was working about 12 hours a day online to sell 10 and start 10 items every day. Now I have a new computer with cable service and I put on about 10 auctions a week and sell about 4.
The BBC runs a TV show called Called "Cash in the attic" where they do the same thing accept it is sold at a live auction.

Tool - I was thinking of the same show. There is one here in the US now also. I think it airs on HGTV.
