I think a few minutes in the electric chair would help.

Beats me, but you wouldn't believe how much I miss living in BOSTON!
Ten years there & I loved every day!
But, WHO CAN AFFORD to live there? My cousin & his wife, that's who! She's a famous ROMANCE NOVELIST & he's a FAMOUS LAWYER...so's BOSTON is easy-livin fur dem!
NOT fir po folks like me-&-Ralphie! My 1-b apt in QUINCY was in a 1920 building, and the creepy landlord (NORMAN) kept calling me..."Mudda!" ALL THIS CHARM for the low rent of...GET THIS: $1200/month!
So, I packed me bags & moved to the "Land-O-Chads" -- my nice modern 1-b here goes $600/month and, most importantly, here in FL, I'm allowed a roomie of the BT persuasion...
BUT...I miss FENWAY!
I miss... the "T"
I really miss being 15 minutes away by T from one of the world's greatest hospitals: Mass General!
I miss Joe Tecci's CLAM SAUCE in the North End!
I miss...THE BRUINS!

yea mean Baaaston dont ya?
My mom grew up in Swampscott about 12 miles N.E. of Boston. She and her twin sister graduated from B.U. I have been up there a "few" times as my cousins still live there.I remember taking a girl I was dating in the spring of 1970up to Boston for the weekend. We stayed at the Fenway motor Inn althought the Sox werent in town.We just basically walked around to the differnt parks and went to a place called "the office" it was a bar with a piano player there(ala Billy Joel)and I think it was in the Prudential center or district-cant quite remember.I do remember my cousins telling me when the Predentail building was built they had huge windows that would simply "blow out" when a storm came in.They also told me to stay away from "the combat zone" It was famous or infamous back in the 60's and 70's.I dont know if they cleaned that area up or not.
I was in your town you live in now in August
1963.I was in high school, but in the Navy Reserve.I had to do my two week training in Mayport,Fl.Two things I distintly remember.
I went to Jacksonville beach on liberty and I was fascinated how they drove the cars right on the beach itself. The other thing which I'll never forget is when I had to use the bathroom on the beach there were 3 signs for 3 different bathrooms.
"men"
"women"
"colored"
I just stood there with my mouth opened and stared at the sign for 5 minutes. Here we were 100 years after the civil war and to see something like that was mind blowing.

My ship was based in Boston in 1970, right after the ? John Hancock Building had been completed -- apparently, the windows were installed backwards, and any strong wind gusts would cause many panes to fall and crash upon the street &/or sidewalks!!!! All the panes had to be REPLACED! This is known as a...S.N.A.F.U.
Anyhoo, I'm pretty sure it was the HANCOCK BUILDING???
The COMBAT ZONE was dieing off back in 1970, and, by the time I moved to BOSTON in 1990, it had been essentially eliminated...VCR's, doncha know??!!

yes you could be right-The Handcock building
I knew it was one of those building-I think you can see it coming in from either I-95 or the Mass Pike.I see some pics of that new causeway they built-it looks like a beauty.Next time I see my cousins I'll have to take that instead of the Callahan tunnel
