...the "over-the-top" bids at auctions this year?
I'll be lucky to get my money back on what I bought! (Now that I've done some feeBay research...). A 4 gallon crock with a blue wreath went for $1057.00! It was beautiful, but this was a small farm in the middle of nowhere...I live in nowhere!

We dont talk about it but plenty of sellers losing money on Ebay.
This may be Ebay OT,but I just got my second chargeback from my cyberstore.
Never have any domestic chargeback, and now 2 in 2 weeks.

Well, I guess alot of people have disposable income if they can afford to bid that much on things they can't possibly ever NEED.

I was doing some research on lamps tonight and was shocked at some of the prices they get - thousands for the right pair - hundreds for some that surprised me. My husband pulled a chair out to the trash a few weeks ago and I sold it for $250 on ebay - talk about disposal income?? [silly}]

I think there is the same amount of disposal income available as 10 years ago, it's just grossly more concentrated in the upper crust
