I am having trouble setting up a google checkout sellers account. I have the buy side all set up but it gives me an error when I try to set it up to sell through. I would like to replace paypal on one of my websites.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

After reading your question, I went over and signed up. I didn't realize the service was even available yet. Thanks for posting!

I had no problems signing up. At first it gave me an error message, but I found I didn't have the address typed EXACTLY as it is on my credit card statement. When I fixed that, it went right through.

Has anyone actually received a payment through this service yet?

toben88, I checked out your site. Looks pretty good. They only problem I see is that when I went to your site, I couldn't leave your site. I was kind of stuck there. I couldn't click on "back" to get back to vendio.

Tom, I haven't actually gotten into the service enough to it's limitations yet. However, I just got an email (SPAM actually) from Channeladvisor saying they have already integrated Google Checkout into their checkout system.

If they can do it, so can Vendio, MW, and the others.

I have been advertising items for sale in Google for about 2months now and I did not sign up for the service to receive payments through Google because from what I was reading the funds stay there and can only be used to make other internet purchases...........I don't remember if you could transfer the funds to your checking account, maybe someone here knows?

Yo! Toni:

NEVER saw any of that -- here's some answers from their extensive HELP section:

How often will Google pay me for my sales?

Payouts will be initiated within two business days if:

You've already specified a valid bank account to receive your payouts.
You've successfully charged an order.
Google will initiate payouts within two business days after you charge an order; however, your bank may take up to three additional business days to register the payout in your account. Please contact your bank representative if you'd like more information about the timing of fund transfers into your account

How do I specify a bank account to receive payments for my sales?

When you first sign up for Google Checkout, you'll be asked to specify a bank account. Please provide this information as soon as possible so you can be eligible to receive payouts. If you don't specify a bank account, you can do so the next time you sign in.

To specify a new bank account:

Sign in to Google Checkout.
Click the Settings tab, then click Financials.
Enter your bank account information in the appropriate fields, making sure your bank name, account type, account number, and routing number are exactly as they appear on your bank statement. (If you need help locating this information, please contact your bank representative.)
Click Save financials.
To change your bank account:

Sign in to Google Checkout.
Click the Settings tab, then click Financials.
Click Change account . . ..
Enter your updated bank account information in the appropriate fields, making sure your bank name, account type, account number, and routing number are exactly as they appear on your bank statement. (If you need help locating this information, please contact your bank representative.)
Click Save financials.
After you add or change your bank account information, you'll be asked to complete a verification process for security purposes.

How do I process orders in the Google Checkout Merchant Center?

You can process orders in the Google Checkout Merchant Center at any time.

To process orders:

Sign in to Google Checkout. Your orders inbox will appear.
Review the order: Click the order number in your inbox to view the order details, including estimated taxes and net revenue. You can also choose a shipping carrier and enter a tracking number as needed.
Charge the buyer's credit card: Once you've determined you can fulfill and ship the order, charge the buyer's credit card by clicking Charge beside the appropriate order in your inbox. (You can also click Charge this order on the order details page.) Important: When you charge an order, you'll also initiate the payout process. Please be sure you're able to fulfill and ship the order before you charge the buyer.
Ship the order and notify the buyer: To ensure your buyer's satisfaction (and to qualify for the Google Checkout Payment Guarantee Policy), pack and ship the order within three days after you've charged the buyer's card. Once you've shipped the order, you must inform the buyer that the order is on its way. Simply click Ship beside the appropriate order in your inbox to send a system-generated email to the buyer. You can also send this email by clicking Send shipping confirmation on the order details page.
(You can also process orders systematically via the Google Checkout API. For more information about processing orders systematically via the Google Checkout API, review 'Order Processing API' in the Developer's Guide.)

Hi tomwiii

Thanks, you cleared that up for me. It's been a while since I read all that info so I didn't remember too well.

So far whatever I listed for sale has not sold so I don't think I'll list anything else. The listings stay till I cancel them but I also have them listed with ebay at the same time and on Ebay they are selling.....lol

I also noticed when I was doing the listings that It saw mostly big corps placing listings most of there listings were in the form of Advertising, Not many individual sellers.
