I just (today) received a print order placed through www.ToledoBanners.com. (Don't be put off by his Web site's completeness - I almost was and I would have missed a gem of a designer and quality printing...)
I was looking to have postcards designed and found Joe through a freelance site. He does very, very good design work for very little money - and the printing is the most reasonable I've seen.
I used to have VistaPrint do work - but they can't compare to what Joe just did for us.
It won't hurt to contact him and see what the cost would be for your work. Please let him know Wayne at DecorateMyRooms recommended him.
Let me know what you think of him.

I alway's use local printers. Have you checked the yellow pages in your area yet? Bet you can find what you want local and at a good price.

Polydot Print Specialists. They are a "trade" shop. In other words, they are the guys your local print shop and Kinkos sends their 4-color work to and then adds a 75-100% mark-up on. Can't find their number right now but they are in Santa Fe Springs Ca.

Thanks everyone...good leads...talked with Joe at toledobanners (Wayne, as you requested I mentioned your name and Joe appreciated the referral very much), he seemed to be very professional & seemed to know what he was talking about, also very attractice prices (interesting to know that there is very minimal and almost negligible price difference between quantity 2000 and 5000 so I went ahead with the higher quantity of 5000 brochures and cards); I gave him a print order for brochures....thank again Wayne and everyone.

Jewel - the majority of the price in printing, especially full color printing which requires serperations, is in the set up. Once the job is on the press, the difference between 2500 and 5000 pieces is about $20 in paper and 20 minutes of press time.

Great to hear it, Jewel. Yeah - we just had cards printed as well - and it was actually the same price for 5.5"x8.5" as it was for 4x6" -- and we opted for the higher amount, too.
Let me know what you think about his design work, too. We're pretty pleased and just started distributing the cards to our customers this week.
