now here's a thought - I purchased an item and the seller requested a shipping address confirmation. here's a cut and paste of their email.
"Hello,
Thank you very much for your recent purchase! Your business is much appreciated.
Although you may have submitted your payment via PAYPAL, if you would be
so kind, please confirm your shipping address so that we may send your item
as soon as assembly is finished. In addition, please include a contact phone
number that you may be reached.
In the past we have had customers that have recently moved and did not update
their paypal shipping address. We want to insure that your package is shipped
to the correct address. UPS & FEDEX do not deliver to PO BOXES, therefore,
please email us an actual physical shipping address. Also, please provide
us with a contact number and the most convenient time you may be reached
in case we have any additional questions for you. You are our valued customer
and we are here to serve you. If you should have any questions at all, please
do not hesitate to email us anytime."

It's basically the same info I ask for in every EOA email I send to my customers. Although I don't take Paypal, the eoa from Ebay provides a name and address for the customer. That information is worthless to me. I'm not the least bit interested in what address they provided to Ebay when they first signed up, or the last time they thought to update their info. I want to know where they are now. I tell them the truth about the telephone number. It's for FedEx's shipping papers.

I just had an item close with shipping stated Fed Ex Ground. NOW this buyer is in Puerto Rico and no way can I send to them for price quoted plus they have a box number PLUS I get a reject for my email stating new shipping cost. I just hate these kind of problems. The item is a very large and heavy item has to be shipped in 2 different boxes that was bad enough but then to get this snafu just irkes the holy crap out of me. Maybe it won't be so bad but I always get these kinds of feelings when it is a hassel anyway aside from the new hassels added to it.
OH, why did I even come home from work today? Hope I am just being paranoid ad things work out. Had to increase shipping by almost $25.00 and can just hear them now --though they probably knew it could NOT be shipped to them for my quoted price saying FED EX GROUND.... Yall pray for me I am having a nervous riggor........LOL They could have at least written and requested shipping information first. Plus they are newbie of sorts with 19 feedback but good ones. Ok I vented now calm down and breath....
Edited to add I like their email may have to add that to my emails it sounds good to me.

My EOA message asks for address confirmation. Rarely has it been different from PayPal's, and then usually differing only in p.o. box vs. street address, which always needs some clarification.

This is not an unreasonable e-mail as far as I am concerned. It sounds like you confirmed your P.O. Box instead of a real address. You should feel lucky that this seller is still willing to accept PayPal from you. On items where I cannot ship them USPS, I would be making you send me a money order, check, cash ect.
