I have to tell you all about something serendipitous that happened this morning. Last night I sold a zoom lens for big dollars and was nervous about the possibility that the buyer would do a switcheroo on me.
He e-mailed this morning after paying for the lens and asked if I had any advice to give his wife, who wants to sell a few family things they have around the house.
I told him the very first thing she should do is get an ultraviolet pen and I explained the reasons, adding that I use it all the time on things I ship. I was so happy to be able to warn the buyer ahead of time what I had done!
A older and wiser woman friend calls this "guided drift," and refers to it whenever there's some interesting coincidence in our lives.
Probably there would have been no problem, but since I was selling the lens for a friend, I want the sale to go through smoothly. So. . . share my joy! And yet another big thanks to Sparkz for making this possible.

Sounds like you will have a good ending to this one.
Has anyone ever put it in their listings that they mark their items with UV pens? Something to consider??

I would not put it in my ads simply because there is always someone who would think it would be cute to break your security system. If you tell them there is a UV mark, it does not take a genius to figure out how to locate it and then mark their broken item and return it to you with "your" mark on it.
Seller's don't have the market cornered on UV pens and light.

Hi Roadsmith
I made a mistake as I had not meant to post that here. I guess I was half asleep. I deleted it and would appreciate if you would do the same.
Thanks
