Edited to add: Never mind! I've answered my own question (I was wrong; the date they're relisted is the date now given in my account).

I have about 70 books listed on Amazon; occasionally some will come up for renewal (60-days) and I usually do renew them.

When the books are first listed, Amazon has the listing date next to the book in my seller's account list. When I relist them, it seems that the original listing date doesn't change. Which I think is probably good, since I can easily tell which ones are dogs and have been listed for quite a while with no takers. Am I reading that right?

Roadie, Do you feel you are doing well on Amazon? I have boxes of books I have to list. Most are very vintage. I have some vintage music sheets too.

I'm not doing fabulously well, but I'm surprised at some of the sales. Of course I price these books, which I already owned or got for 50 cents somewhere, near the low end of the competition. Turning a quick dollar is my goal. The listing process is easy, and if I discover there are many at 99 cents or even less(!), I simply put the book on the discard pile. Lately I've sold about 1 - 3 books per week, sometimes overnight. And when I get the notice of a sale, I can hit "reply" and thank the buyer AND notify that I have another related book on Amazon in case he's interested. That's a plus.

The book sales just limp along--never very many, rarely none in a week--and I'm gradually figuring out which kinds will sell.

Old sheet music is tough anywhere! One thing--if there is a Christmas or Valentine them on the cover (etc.), and it's colorful, wait until 3 weeks before the next holiday. Some of the antiques b&m shops like to make displays. Same with St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July, etc. However, none of the ones I've sold have brought more than $10, and frequently just $5. Also, when you want to ship it, you won't want to fold it in half, so you have to have an envelope and stiffeners large enough--all of which jacks up the cost.
