Been awhile since I've had time to get any auctions up... what's new with ebay in the last six months or so? Any cool new features?
Is the post-Labor Day, pre-Christmas period doing good this year? With the economy doing so very well, have we finally gotten back to normal?
Thanks!

You know how you're trying to get the last of the whipped cream out of the can? At first you only get some splatter, but then some big puffy clouds of cream come out. Then you're back to splatter.
That's what my sales are like these days. Today was a luscious mound of sweet sales. Yesterday was splatter.
Best Offer is really boosting sales, though. It is probably the best new feature, now that it's been rolled out site-wide.

How are sales?
Just a Fluffy described - inconsistent. I think ebay has some serious usablity issues ranging from trust and safety, search glitches, delayed indexing of new listings, browser incompatability - not to mention a bunch of pissed off sellers (and sellers are buyers too). I really have never seen business in such a state of flux. One day I sold my highest priced postcard ever and the next had virtually no sales.
I am going on vacation on Thursday and my last auctions end tonight. Usually when I go on vacation a part of me is sad to stop the momentum but I have to say this time I don't feel that way. I just hope they fix whatever is broken while I am gone!

Ditto. I think sales are down, overall due to an unfriendly environment or auctions are now passé - collectors have found their real passions earlier on eBay? EBay monkeying around with the site has caused invisibility problems for some sellers and visibility advantages for others, on a rotating basis. Maybe it all evens out, but buying on eBay is not as fun as it used to be and the recent posting of page view trends indicates that buyers are not spending as much time there.
