Okay, I've lost it. It's been so long since I've paid attention to anything Asian in origin that I'm afraid I'm at a loss. I have a feeling that these are Japanese, but that usually means they are Chinese. Anyone know? I believe these are brush pots? The smallest one is 2-3/4" tall and the largest is about 3". Forget reading the signature. It's the same on both pots. Any help would be appreciated.

One vote for Japanese. The characters do not "look" Chinese to me, scientific as that opinion may be.

I found out that they're Korean. And, that they are male and female tea cups. Bet you can't guess which is which. LOL!

Hi, irked! I'm guessing the "big" one is the male. It's only a guess, mind you. I'm not sure myself.
