One lousy sale all day. About 100 fixed priced ending or ended. Had a 4% sell-through rate from 10 cent listing day. Hope you all did better.

Mine was bad also, I certainly expected to sell a lot more. Lots had watches, but that was it. No store sales for a couple of days with over 500 listing. I guess my Christmas rush is over!

Since our sales are erupting off of the charts we will all be getting that huge rebate from ebay.
Don't forget to sign up for the latest farce(or is a contest) at ebay power sellers..
I signed up and all I have to beat to get my 1% rebate is do 39 thousand by christmas day..
These morons if i did $39 g's this next few weeks i would give them the xtra 1% as a tip.
It never cease to amaze me how out of touch with reality they are!!!!!!!!

rpm - and did you catch that you only get 1% of the DIFFERENCE between your goal and the amount you exceeded it. So....if you sell $10,000 over your goal you get a whopping $100 credited towards listing fees (not even deposited in your PP account). Be still my heart.

pixiamom...I only had a 4% sell through also. I thought I was the only one. I have never ever done that poorly. It has always been 8 to 10% during listing specials.
I thought I could depend on Ebay to pay some extra medical bills we are having now but it looks like the only one making any money off my listings these days is Ebay.
Edited to add that for the first time ever I went 5 days without a single sale (even with 50 core listings). That was the first week in November. I finally sold 8 of the 50 and 2 store items before they closed.
One thing I have noticed is thousands and thousands of postcards being listed under $3 and around $1 shipping. Many of these are listed in core with gallery and accept paypal. They can't possibly be making any money. There's also a lot listed for less than that. Those are the ones that seem to be getting the bids. But, they aren't getting bid up. Most are ending with one bid only.
One seller had over 13,000 listed in his/her store at $2 each and they also accept paypal and shipping was $.63.
I think that is one of the problems right now.

Favorites, I can't find the seller you're referring to, sounds like a fire sale so thought I might go shopping!

I'll see if I can find them again. I was looking through postcards to try and identify some locations that didn't give states. I noticed she had a lot listed so looked at her other listings.
Maybe they weren't really store listings but were FP? She did have a store though.

I did about 7%, which was better than I did the week before (on the 20 cent day). The 20 cent days, just make me mad (they seem to try to screw the sellers). On the other hand, paypal fees seem absurd, especially on small items where the shipping is almost as much as the sale price. I am also awaiting the day I get a charge back or two, especially because half of my buyers are international (and not protected). It is really not even worth my listing smaller listings at regular prices, so I only list them on cheap days.

This was my 1st fixed price experience and it worked OK for me. I had a sale through rate of about 10% but more important is the listing cost me less then $5 but I make over $200.
My other sales are really bad now so this promotion did help my bottom line for the month.

Lol, this morning in NC , I am just glad to be dry and have power.
It is afternoon here and the wind gust are still 45 -50 mph . The wind gust will sting your skin.
We had NO ideal this storm would be this bad.
Many are without power, the roads have lines and trees down so so some are closed .
But all-in- all we were lucky. The power outages are not as bad as they could be. However if these winds continue with the ground soaked , more trees may fall on the lines
NC is tuff , most (including my DH) are already out even now, trying to get things cleaned up and help others.

DUH, me!
I forgot it was supposed to be a "Fixed Price" sale, and listed 4 items from the store on straight auction listings. All 4 sold, but at give-away prices. Did, however, get a couple of store sales out of the auction listings.
Bottom line: I broke even between sales and inventory costs and fees.
My items, except for book lots, are slow sellers, so in-the-store is where they stay. My regular customers, collectors of my items, are my main support.

I also had a sell thru of 7% that was my worst ever. At .10 per listing it was still a lower listing cost than I had with the .20 day. It also moved a nice amount of stale inventory not suited for my store.

I did a number of listing on the recent UK 10p Fixed Price Listing Day, most with Best Offer, and can report that items are flying off the shelves. A few real low ball offers from North American bidders - to be expected given the poor buying power of the USD. However the real surprise has been the number of European collectors prepared to make offers around 80-90% of my Fixed Prices (which I inflated as I can always adjust prices down towards the end of the 10-day listing). It's three days into the sale and I've already €740 ahead...

Very disappointing....but so have our Ebay sales been in general this fall.
I have never done well with Fixed Price "Auctions", yet I always seem to allow myself to get sucked into these Fixed Price Sale Days. But this was the worst ever. And not one offer on the Best Offers.
Oh excuse me...there was one offer...for less than my cost!
Ah well, at least I used all items that I took out the eBay Store and now that they are out, I will keep some out for sale in the real world.
And I will still probably get sucked in again next time.

The 10-cent listing days are best for high-priced items.

We sold about 40% of the fixed price listings which was okay..next fixed price special, I think I'll send through less though..and be more selective..
