WHAT?!! NO END OF AUCTION E-MAILS FOR MY SOLD ITEMS TONIGHT? JUST THE UNSOLD ONES?!
Thanks, Ebay. I suppose this is your way of forcing us to go through My eBay, but it really stinks. It's extra steps to go into that page, e-mail the sellers with my personal message, and then hope they'll reply and give me their danged addresses.

Don't give up Roadsmith lol I got a unsold end of item that ended Dec 3rd last night on Dec. 11th. So you should see your end of auction e-mails around the 18th boy are they dropping the ball or what

roadsmith: Well, I have not had an EOA, listing conf., request for payment, My message etc. for 9 days!! I reckon I am missing 80-90 emails. I have sent numerous emails to eBay, called my ISP, gone through every preference, even got a computer technician in yesterday, and no-one can find the problem. EBay is saying that it is because of a spam setting, but my spam file is empty, and my setting at low. I am SO frustrated, and no-one can help. The guy yesterday said it has to be eBay's problem.

Not to defend e-bay as they lie like rugs too, but the isp has filters for spam that will NEVER reach your computer.
Recently I received a call from my isp complaining that they were going to be cited because of the Vendio email that go out after a purchase. someone had reported me as a spam-mer because i was sending out so many e-mails.
Contact the office of the isp and ask for someone who manages your e-mail service. be insistent and grill them with the what ifs of your problem. they know what you are talking about but like e-bay it is easier to lie and act dumb than to fix it.
good luck

You can choose to display buyers by email address in your "sold" section of "My Ebay" (Under Customize there is a drop down to choose user name or email - choose email and you can see both).
If you send an invoice through My Ebay you can see their addresses under "Payment Details" (you can also see this if they checkout or pay through PayPal - you won't see it if they mark "Paid" and don't check out)
Edited to add: I don't understand why people rely on ebay and PP notifications. They have always been less than reliable! I download my PayPal payments and get all the info (address etc) on a spreadsheet and ship from that)- just takes a second.

You are right, EOA's show up when they feel like it! I got all the unsold ones last night too but not the sold ones. Also, for the last couple of weeks PayPal has not been sending me all the notifications. I have been late shipping (2nd day after instead of 1st day after payment) and hate it that I have to check PayPal every time I want to go to the Post Office. Why can't these nice bells and whistles that we pay so dearly for WORK this time of year?? Sorry about the rant, it feels good sometimes to just blow off steam!

Thanks, Neglus. Yes, I already have opted for the e-mail addresses in My eBay. The problem for me is that I don't sell more than 20 - 40 items a week, usually in one or two groups. I detest those invoices and prefer to send a cut-and-paste friendlier message at the end of an auction.
1. True, the e-mail addresses are in My Ebay, but if I want to save them for future communication, I have to manually write them down!
2. If I send an invoice from My eBay, when that's finished I can't just go back to My eBay with a click; I have to start over getting into it. Time waster when I have 20 or so messages to get out.
3. The EOAs from eBay always had the seller's address included, so I could always find all that information (seller's address plus e-mail address) in one place if needed (and of course we often need to contact the buyers again).
These are the reasons I'm protesting the lack of EOAs in my e-mail.
As suggested above, I will contact my ISP to see what can be done, but I'm sure this is an eBay issue, since I'm getting the UNSOLD messages just fine in my e-mail. Grrrrrrr.

Adele - Has it been awhile since you have used the ebay invoice:
"1. True, the e-mail addresses are in My Ebay, but if I want to save them for future communication, I have to manually write themdown!"
You can check a box at the bottom to send a copy to yourself
"2. If I send an invoice from My eBay, when that's finished I can't just go back to My eBay with a click; I have to start over getting into it. Time waster when I have 20 or so messages to get out."
If you right click on the "send invoice" button it will open in a new window. Send that invoice and close the window when you are done. You are then right back in "My Ebay" and can move on to the next. If you forget where you are, a quick refresh will update that screen.
"3. The EOAs from eBay always had the seller's address included, so I could always find all that information (seller's address plus e-mail address) in one place if needed (and of course we often need to contact the buyers again)."
I can't help you there because if the EOA's aren't reliable, why depend on them? You will have to develop a more reliable method of getting the information you want.
You will have the buyer's email in the copy of the invoice you send yourself and the address is available under "Payment Details" or on PayPal payment when they pay. When I process checks, I copy and paste the address on my shipping list from payment details on ebay and check to make sure it's the same one on the envelope.

neglus: You mentioned sending a copy to yourself. I can't do that, I get no messages through eBay at all. When I send an invoice, I like to have the confirmation of it, because I have had them not go through, so I need to re-send them, now I have no idea if they are going through or not. My ISP says they never delete spam emails, just put them in the spam file. I wish someone could come up with an answer for me. I have tried and tried to call eBay, but after a long wait, I get a message to try live (no) help.

Neglus: I know I'm sounding like a whiner, but I do appreciate your thoughtful suggestions. I'll talk about them one at a time:
1. I really don't want a copy of an eBay invoice sent to myself, clogging my e-mail even more. And I normally don't use the eBay invoice anyway.
2. Thanks for the suggestion about right-clicking on "send invoice" so I can stay in My eBay. If I sent invoices more often, that would help. Right now I'm having to click on the buyer's e-mail to send my own EOA notice, so I'll see if I can right-click on that and stay in My eBay.
3. eBay's EOAs were very reliable until recently; they all came through and I had ALL that information right there, where I wanted it, in my e-mail. Sigh. So many more steps, when the old system I used was extremely efficient. Makes me crazy!

It's been about 5 weeks now that some of the EOA e-mails come through and some don't. We are fine if the buyer is in the US as we have a Flat Shipping Fee but if in Canada or elsewhere then we need the address which is on that e-mail
Some of the Listing Confirmations come though..some don't.
The majority of PayPal e-mails regarding payments do not come through to me. I know when they have paid if the $ icon is lit up in my solds or if I ( as I usually do) check my PayPal account constantly.
I have complained too but get nowhere, it is not my ISP, not my EBay settings...it's just Ebay being EBay and as 'roadsmith' says...we have to go through extra steps to send an Invoice etc.
I get the Buyer's e-mail address from the auction page, if they are not in the US and then I send them an e-mail asking for their address so I can send them an Invoice!

I received this message from eBay last night, I don't know if it will help anyone else. I had spent a long time on the phone with my ISP, and they told me that somehow there was a block on my email address from eBay, and to tell them that, and this is they reply I got.
"I have checked with our team of experts in the technical team and they
have informed me that you need to wait for the next 4-5 days and verify
whether you would be receiving the notifications from eBay. Meanwhile,
you can contact your ISP once again and ask them to add *.ebay.com to
the safelist of your registered email address. Once this is done, you
should be receiving notifications from eBay in the next 3-4 days. "

Amber: The fact that I'm getting UNsold items in my e-mail but not SOLD items says it's not my isp's problem! Weird, huh.

roadsmith: It seems that my problem is finally solved. After about a dozen emails to eBay, hours on the phone with my ISP. Yesterday, I changed my email address on eBay to an old Hotmail account that I hadn't used for a while, and my emails immediately started coming through. I thought that meant is was my ISP and called them, but they said that somehow my email address was blocked on eBay, and to tell them that, so I did, and got a message today to say their team of technical experts would have my notices back in 4-5 days. I changed back to my other email address, and lo and behold, my first message from eBay since Dec. 4th. I am SO happy, I hated not having my EOA notices particularly. Now, I just need someone to win one of my auctions to see if I get one!

It seems that Roadsmith & I have the same sort of problem with EBay.
SOME but not ALL mail comes through.
Sometimes if I sell 6 items I will get two EOA emails sometimes I will get all 6.
If I list 10 then I may get 4 listing Confirmations or I may even get 10 on a good day.
It is not consistent.
This morning I received a PayPal e-mail and we had already found the payment in our account two days ago and mailed the item yesterday.
I am sorry but I still maintain that it is not our ISP which is very reliable and all settings should be letting all EBay mail through.

Yep, we do have the same problem. The maddening part about it is, if eBay chooses what ending auctions to send to me, WHY just the unsold ones?! Why not the SOLD ones. Too frustrating for words.
