Anyone here check out the ?new? BidPay, or even using it right now. I'm waiting for my new end of the year set of glasses to come it, and reading all the fine print just gives me a headache.
I had used their sevices, several years ago, and it worked out fine, but then changes made, seemed to stop everyone from using it, until finally it just faded away. Is this their new invention of themselves?
Tnx

There's no way I will use the new BidPay as it requires a US bank account, is no longer free to sellers and now permits chargebacks. Under the old system BidPay mailed out a Western Union Money Order which my local bank negotiated for free and they were as good as cash (but safer). Under the "new, improved" BidPay they credit your US bank account for the amount (minus seller's fees on par with PayPal's) and like PayPal now have a chargeback risk attached.
No advantage for sellers over money orders or bank drafts. I still prefer bank transfers for non-USA sales as they are generally credited within 1-2 business days without deduction of charges, plus no chargebacks or reversals

There is no advantage over money orders, but for me, there is a HUGE advantage over PayPal for international bidders.
I have used it since it came back. No problems, and it makes life easier for some of my customers.
For some reason Vendio is hyping BidPay with annoying advertising. The differences in Seller's fees between BidPay and PayPal is negligible, which is the only thing I care about. If it was in anyway a substantially better deal I would be interested. For my interests, it would just add more work and confusion to my current system of receiving payments which works well and without issue for both domestic and international buyers.

The new bidpay is much different than the old one. I used to get 6 payments a month with the original system. Now, not a single one. The new system is no better than PayPal. At this point, if you don't mind a chargeback for no reason at all, you might as well use PayPal.
