Hi,

I made a second chance offer to a buyer of mine. The buyer then used ebay's contact form to send me an email. However, the buyer hid his email address from me, and when I try to use ebay's contact form to email him back, I am blocked by ebay. How do I get around this??? Many thanks for your help.

Use ebay's "contact a member"

Personally, I never used the second chance offers.

Did you use the reply button or try the FB page?
On the his FB page there is a link that says contact member. Try that.

Try using someone else's ID to contact (or your second ID if you have one -- get another one if you need to). Or, if this buyer is selling something, try that way from an active listing.

You are probably blocked from doing this on your own ID. This may be a good question for Live Help, but I don't believe I'd even try that today.

Can't be much help on this...But a thought...I've only used the "second chance" a few times but have never had anyone buy. Might not be worth the effort. Good luck if you persist...

I recall having a buyer block any 2nd chance offers. I contacted them and they changed it

ebay quite honestly has the worst customer service. I spoke with live chat about this issue to various reps. They either disconnected me while I was typing, ignored my issue and just kept giving me the runaround, or ignored my requests to have this issue escalated. I am going to have to dispute my ebay fees.

I guess I don't understand - did the buyer take your offer or not? What fees have you incurred due to this problem?
If you want to post your email here, I'll contact you and you can give me his information so I can email him on your behalf (as long as everything is legal ) and let him know whatever it is you want him to know.
I'll be out until this afternoon but I'll get with you then.
