Well, after several ultra sounds the doctors determined that my DIL was carrying a girl. So, everything she and my son got was themed for a girl. Guess what? IT'S A BOY! Delivered a little over an hour ago. What stories they'll have to tell him. I told Michael and Skye they'd have to keep some of that pink stuff as proof. I have a picture of the 3D ultrasound in a pink frame! Think I'll keep it that way.

Anyhoo, I'm a grandma, AGAIN!

"What Is a Grandma?

A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes. She is someone you can tell your secrets and worries to, and she hopes and prays that all your dreams come true. She always loves you, no matter what. She can see past temper tantrums and bad moods, and makes it clear that they don't affect how precious you are to her. She is an encouraging word and a tender touch. She is full of proud smiles. She is the one person in the world who loves you with all her heart, who remembers the child you were and cherishes the person you've become.

Congratulations Cheryl, I am sure he will be a joy to you all, even if he is the unexpected version! We are expecting our 11th grandchild in July.

Congratulations! That was probably a very big suprise for sure. Don't have any grand kids myself and from looks of it might be a while too. Oh well, maybe someday.

Okay, here HE is. Still un-named.

The hospital rooms are amazing! Gosh, I wanted to stay. Just beautiful and so comfortable. They sure weren't that way when I had my two. How things have changed.

Congrats!! Guess most names they picked when expecting a girl would not work. Come to think of it some popular names now don't tell me if it is a girl or boy.

Oh he is so adorable. I can smell his sweet little baby neck scent from here.

Congratulations!

I want one. If anyone is sick of their grandkids (if that ever happens, lol) send them to me please.

zippy2dah: Not me! I have 10 from 3-17, and I never tire of them. They are all unique and very special. When I was a nurse, we had some children that were very long term patients, many without families who cared, and we had "adopted" Grandma's who were wonderful to come and visit them, and take the place of missing ones.

Okay, they've settled on two possible names: Joseph Michael or Joseph Cameron. My son is Michael and his middle name is Cameron (a family name). I'm partial to Joseph Michael myself.

He's adorable. Lucky you.
I love the name Cameron - but I guess I don't get a vote.

His official name is Joseph Cameron. My son has become an expert at changing diapers already! Skye is hooked up to IV's because they think she may have an infection. So, other than feeding the baby, there's not much she can do. I compared baby pics and Joseph looks just like his father!
