I have a repeat buyer who bids over several weeks on my store items. She always pays, and the items are usually between $1-$3. It had mounted up to about 44 items, and I sent her an invoice last night, but I didn't count the items, just assumed it was correct. Then 2 payments arrived from her, one for the total of the invoice I sent, and another for around $40. She says she got 2. When I checked them both off, they were indeed for all 44 items, but split into 2 invoices. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a limit that can go onto one invoice?

I don't think there is a limit. Sometimes you need to click the combine eligible items link to make sure all the items are on the invoice.

Yes, I did that, but obviously they didn't all come up. If they were not all there, then why would they all be on the 2 Paypal invoices?

Yes, there is a combination limit on invoices. When I was sending out invoices for large purchases, it appeared that 40 was the max that was generated on one invoice.

Thanks txbg, I thought there must be. This is the first time I have every had that many items on one invoice, but there was no message to say that, so it was very confusing. Paypal just sent the 2 invoices.
