Reply from eBay!

Dear digitalpearlbiz,
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your question about listing on
eBay.
I understand you would like to know if the new policy about auction
extensions under the Fee Circumvention policy applies to Fixed Price
listings as well. Yes, the policy applies to all kinds of listings on
eBay. Extending your listing is no longer permitted through these
means.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this
email and let us know.

Question: Would that apply to all the duration times that are covered under the basic cost, like 1- or 3- or 5-day auctions? So if I've listed for 3 days, can I extend to 5 or 7 days with no problem?

Extension would be extra time at the end of your listing. If your listing is scheduled to end at 8pm, and you have software that can extend the auction to let's say 8:05pm, that is what ebay is banning.

STONE!!!! YOU are the one who is not understanding this! You are no longer allowed to change (extend) the duration of your listing (number of days). This used to be allowed - now it isn't. Ebay has never allowed you to extend your listing by minutes.
