Wow. Well, I wonder what it would cost to move it to another state?! Didn't notice if he specified local pickup only.

He's got it covered:
"Shipping can be arranged by your or by me – whichever you’d like. You will pay cost of shipping. If auctions exceeds $8000 I will drive everything to you in a U-Haul rented by you."

If the bid reaches $8000 he'll drive it to you in a U-haul (bidder pays for U-haul).
I had an old couch like his back when I was first married. Eons ago.

He is not going to get very far on $6,000. I bet that he hoped to get more. So far he has 0 bids.

This has been done before. It's old hat.
To really grab the page views you need something innovative.
To have someone come, pack up everything and cart it off seems gloriously liberating, though.
I've always liked the ending of _What's Eating Gilbert Grape_.

He is better off selling on Craigslist.Well, whoever win will pay no sales tax.
And if it is a local,he pays just one delivery fee.

That's pretty sad.
I really hope it's not a scam.

there was that guy a few years ago that sold all of his stuff and then went around visiting it all. it was part of the auction ending that you had to agree to have this guy come into your house and visit with his stuff.

digitalbruce that guy was even on TV something like 20/20 or Dateline. Showed him visiting some of his stuff the salt and pepper shakers and sugar bowl was kinda funny. All the buyers they talked about were tickled to have him come for a visit. That was back in the day when Ebay was uhhhhhhhhh special. LOL

If anyone ever wondered what happened at the end of this auction. This is the feedback the buyer left and was then mutually withdrawn:

Too bad it didn't work out.
Sometimes I think it'd be fun to dump it all and just wander.

What fun!
A 0 Seller sold to a -1 buyer. The deal seems to have fallen quickly apart. I think they deserve each other!
