Good morning, I have a lot of cologne/perfume that I would like to sell but my Posties always ask me if there is anything liquid in the packages. Is it illegal to ship perfume? If I tell them there is liquid will they refuse to ship? If it goes First Class is it O.K.? Sorry, that was more than one question.

Yes you can ship Parcel Post, but not Priority Mail. Prioity goes Air and they are not supposed to ship anything that could be flammable. Just make sure you pack well when shipping parcel, first class etc. I hope this helps.

Thank you! If I understand correctly First Class or Parcel Post is O.K. if I declare liquid? I plan on putting the bottles in zipper lock bags and then using lots of bubble wrap. I have almost all of it looked up and have ended up with 15 bottles to sell and about 20 to take to the local auction house.

Thanks, now to get them listed! I got off track and did not list anything yet today, had to pick up hubby because his truck ran out of gas. I had a lot of fun with that and he is good natured enough to let me laugh.

I found out from a Postal Employee gal this past week that hair dyes are considered 'hazardous' material to send thru USPS ... because of the 'contents' in/of it
