Hi, all: I have a 15-pound set of books for sale on eBay and have an inquiry from an international buyer asking how much to ship to Hong Kong. I was under the impression that M-bags are still an option, with the 11-pound minimum. However, searching the USPS danged site, I can't find it. When I enter 15 pounds to Hong Kong, m-bags aren't listed as an option. Does anyone know?? I've even googled and find conflicting information, even from book-seller sites.

As you were writing this, I found the M-bag information--but not the $$ amounts you quote here. So it looks like 15 pounds would be, let's see (correct me if I'm wrong):
$43.45 basic 11-pound charge
16.00 for four extra pounds (rounded off)
59.+ total. See anything wrong in my calculations? And is this good for anywhere in the world?
the $59 is still better than the $70+ by other methods. But yikes.
edited to add: Here's the M-bag site, for anyone else interested in this:

Will your books fit inside a Flat Rate box (up to 20 lbs for $37 (less for online postage)?

Neglus: I WISH! These are 6 large volumes, v. old books, which will need to be padded, and my best estimate is 15 pounds total. No way the 6 books could fit into a flat-rate box.
I'm wondering if Fedex would have a cheaper rate. . . .

Intl Fed EXP does not have cheaper rate,I can assure you.
If you have nothing else better to do,talk to a local consolidator on less than containerload shipment, book wholesalers use their service, the problem is travelling by sea, books get moldy.

With sales to HK SAR remember NOT to accept PayPal due to high fraud rate with CCs. HK banks can easily issue USD checks drawn on US banks or do "wires" (international bank transfers) for a few dollars more.
