I came across an auction that designated proceeds to this Mission Fish organization:
Cavy Care Inc.
Certified for eBay Giving Works since 2005. Missionfish nonprofit ID 6876.
nonprofit logo Cavy Care Inc. will work to provide proper care for guinea pigs. Cavy Care Inc. will work educate and provide information on the proper care of guinea pigs. Cavy Care Inc., will not turn away a guinea pig. Working to restore that animal to its optimum health or offer a place of sanctuary. No animal will be euthanized unless it is a quesion of quality of life. Cavy Care Inc. is a true no kill alternative for private owners and other shelters.
Note: I am not a guinea pig HATER! We even raised them for a few years back when the kids were young - but REALLY!

Too Long..LOL..just kidding. Unlike hamsters, guinea pigs live about 7 years. If your 10 year old kid begs for a GP and promises to keep the cage clean etc etc ....THINK TWICE!
GP's are not nearly as prolific as their rodent cousins. I can't even figure out how this "charity" could get approved! Surely it is a joke?

We started with 2,then it is 5,then it is 9,no way we can keep 9 in one cage and feed them all.
