This seller has broken the mold. Over 13,000 feedback and only 9 negs and 3 withdrawals and checkout those Stars. I'm impressed. Maybe they are are sending cash back in the boxes

I'm more impressed by how many jumbo sizes they sell. Lots of feedback from happy 4X and 5X buyers.
What's more, t-shirts (non-jumbo) are $8.99 with free shipping on their website. I don't quite see how they can make money doing that. I just weighed a t-shirt I picked randomly out of the clean laundry; it was 9 ounces. That's $2.67 for First Class. I don't know all their costs -- and they do use the some of the cheapest t-shirt stock available, Fruit of the Loom -- but, man, I'd want to make a clear profit of $3 to $4 per shirt.
Could be they make their real money on the big sizes.

This seller always impresses me - 14 negs and 161,905 positives! He just slipped from 100% FB to 99.9% with one crummy neg last month.

He starts everything at 99 cents so he does have 100% sell through (proof that that model can work). He used to run about 1000 auctions on Tuesday nights and another 1000 on another id on Thursdays.
EDit the Edit - never mind - that was wrong info

Wow, now that is the kind of inventory I would like, powerful sellthrough and high prices. I can't see how people make it selling items that sell for .99 or 2.00. After paying Ebay and PayPal fees, it would be better just to donate the item to charity and get a tax write off.

I would enlighten you, merrie, but I get yelled at every time I explain how to make 99 cents work. It's not illegal, immoral, unethical or against eBay's rules, but it's an emotional hot button that makes some people crazy irrational.
Needless to say, it does work. On items that sell for 99 cents, my profit ranges from $2.75 to $3.25. Obviously I like it more when it sells for more.

Hey Fluff, I am not critical of .99 listings. I am just saying that I would like inventory that sells for hundreds of dollars like the listings of the movieposter person. Everyone has their own methods.I have no idea why "it's an emotional hot button that makes some people crazy irrational." I would definitely like to list things at 99 cents, but have them sell for hundreds of dollars. That sounds like fun!!

With all due respect, merrie, you're missing something.
You have no idea how much Mr. Movie Poster paid for his inventory. Nor do I. I do know that he says that having a linen backing applied to the pieces cost quite a lot of money, in some cases more than the items fetch at auction.
I don't know if that is Dog's honest truth or not.
