I would love to get input from at least a couple dozen people.

1) Which five websites do you visit most on a regular basis?

2) Why? (Just a few words about each.)

3) Would you visit a site that gave away free prizes daily -- truly FREE, you don't even pay s/h?

4) How likely would you be to visit such a site every day?

5) If this site had a portal to eBay prominently displayed on its front page, would that influence you positively, negatively or not at all?

Thanks for any responses. It would be a huge help.

Five websites. Hmmm.

Ebay
Vendio
Woot
Jewelry Classifieds at DiamondRing.com

Shopping I check:

Ebay
Overstock.com
Amazon.com
SmartBargins.com

Ebay - Home page
VD - well because I can!
Woot - latest fad. Missed the BOC yesterday darnit!
Jewelry Classifieds - I like Jewelry & they have good deals sometimes.

If there's a contest running I usually enter once a day. Didn't win the HGTV dream home or the Dell computer giveaway but I'll enter once a day. Oprah is currently running a free trip to the show and I enter every day.

Portal to eBay wouldn't bother me. Blinking ads bother me but not so much now that I'm using FireFox.

Does that help?

Six websites:
eBay
Vendio
Google
Postalhistory
Playles
Tvguide

Ebay- to check and manage sales
Vendio, to list and check Community
Google - for research
Postalhistory, Research
Playles, research
tvguide - to choose the background babble while I list

I ignore free anything on the internet and rarely click on eBay links.

eBay -- obvious reasons
nyt (New York Times) -- news, op eds, features
chowhound -- restaurant discussions
accuweather -- local and where I'm traveling
google -- research

I don't click on anything free. I do click for free mammograms for others.

eBay portal makes no difference.

eBay
Vendio
Yahoo
Squidoo
Stumbleupon

1. eBay to check and manage auctions. Also, the jewelry and store boards.
2. Vendio because I like the boards. Well, not so much the RT anymore.
3. Yahoo home page to catch up on the news.
4. Squidoo to visit pages of some of the joolies on eBay's jewelry board.
5. Just because it's great fun to discover websites I wouldn't normally see when surfing.

I might visit a site that gives away free stuff daily even though I never win anything.

An eBay portal wouldn't bother me at all. But, like glassgrl, I hate blinking ads! I also hate ads that pop open when your mouse goes over them.

1) Which five websites do you visit most on a regular basis?
ebay ... because been here forever

vendio ... because "

gasprices.com ... great community local
interaction

woot ... just found this place not long ago, and woot is a hoot

craigslist ... i find fascinating but wish was 'bigger' in my n.e. ohio area ...

free daily prizes! would be even more draw.

if ebay displayed prominently, in the categories that grab my attention, might just go 'there' again, to THAT category, as a link.

2) Why? (Just a few words about each.)

3) Would you visit a site that gave away free prizes daily -- truly FREE, you don't even pay s/h?

4) How likely would you be to visit such a site every day?

Ebay
vendio
my coupons
yahoo
msnbc

ebay..to check on my auctions and sometimes to shop
vendio..to read this board
my coupons..I am an avid couponer and contest person
yahoo..to read the news and check my coupon site on there
Amazon..to check out their daily specials

I woudl certainly visit a site that gave away free stuff every day and a portal to ebay may would help as I would think it would help in having faith that it is not a big scam.

Also, Fluffy..thanks so much for the great slacks..they fit perfectly.

1 & 2 ebay - check "my ebay" and research

vendio - list auctions and read this board

401k.com - because my money gets lonely if I don't check on it.

msn money - to read various articles

the local real estate mls - mostly for the interior view pictures

3. Probably not, I'd be suspicious

4. Not likely

5. Positively, if I could somehow be influenced to believe it wasn't some sort of scam.

Vendio - forums and to list on ebay
Ebay - to list and buy
Pogo - to play games and chat
little hometown newspaper - to check up on what is going on back 'home'
my coupons - to save money

Yes, I would visit a site that had totally free prizes every day but haven't found one lately, they all seem to want shipping and handling (which we all know is expensive from our own work on ebay)

I would not mind a portal to ebay as long as it wasn't flashing

Vendio (list, process sales)
Ebay (list, process sales)
Ecrater (list, process sales)
Google (research, news)
Baylorfans (my sports team, got to read the boards and flame the competitors on a daily basis)

I might visit that site. I visit Woot and What's the Biz Deal every day to see what they are offering. Would be more likely to visit if they send me an email every morning like biz deal does. Gives me a clue about what deal of the day is.

Ebay portal would probably effect me positively.

1. Ebay, Vendio, QVC, Google, Amazon
2. Ebay: Should be obvious
Vendio: Ditto
QVC: To see what they're selling that I missed overnight
Google: Research on what I've found here and there
Amazon: To sell books, and to check my feedback
3. Probably, but depends on what they were giving away.
4. Not likely
5. Negatively, I think. I don't trust most giveaways.

Regularly:

Vendio: everyday - to check up on the latest news relating to special listing days, scams and potential problems, etc...

eBay: 3 or 4 times a week, usually to look for something I want or check on the value of an item.

eCrater: 5 or more times a week to list, check on sales, etc...

Myspace: 1-3 times a month, usually to check up on my kids!

TMZ.com: usually once or twice a day, I am addicted to celeb gossip (I know - LAME)

Perezhilton.com: same as TMZ

Yes, I would visit a daily, for freebies, but I hate getting junk mail and have become more careful about where I go, etc..., I would be cautious about a portal to eBay, with all of the scams going on and so probably would not click on that.

Likely - if I remembered.

5) If this site had a portal to eBay prominently displayed on its front page, would that influence you positively, negatively or not at all?

I am interested in what kind of a website you have in mind, you are a great marketer and always have great new ideas.
