Reports this am of outages in CO, North CA, UK, Australia and Canad, despite Vendio's assurance that the site is now stable.

You are aware fellow users, that the fact that Vendio is out in those places (Northern California, Colorado, Australia, Canada, UK and counting) doesn't merely mean that those users can't come on the site to work and report problems? It means that all of OUR BUYERS from the affected areas aren't seeing images in our listings. If by chance AT LAST our listings make it to the top of search, and the only person who wants to buy our widget is in Australia it means NO SALE! No CAAAAAAA-CHING - No steak for dinner tonight!

No one wants to buy a pig in a poke - they will hit that back button and go buy the widget from somebody else (probably someone using Channel Advisor, Marketworks, Ink Frog our Auctiva) because THOSE GUYS HAVE NOT BEEN DOWN FOR HOURS AND HOURS!

Sorry to hear the outrage is still going on.

How odd (not really) to see there are no comments on this in "Crystal's Vendio Notebook". Blogs aren't for truthtelling, after all, especially the kind that can cost you your job.

This isn't really meant to sound like rubbing salt in the wound, really, but I can't help but think that on the rare occasions my ISP has trouble, one phone call and I'm talking directly to the techs in the machine room who are working on the problem.

I'm not even one of their biggest customers. I pay them less than $100 a month.

Fluff - the calls I have attempted are direct to people in the machine room (or I should say voice mail) in INDIA!!

Yeah, sorry to hear that. Hurricane Electric (my ISP) is across the bay in Fremont.

Vendio offices are (or were) in San Bruno not too far from SFO...about a 25 mile drive from here. If I were feeling up to it I'd make up some signs and go sympathy-picket them for you.

Thankfully, I have been on vacation through all of this. Today, I am in Las Vegas. I can access Vendio with IE, however, when using AOL, I can't access Vendio, or my Vendio store.

Vendio just back up in Indiana, it has been down all day. Can't imagine what sales will be like, luckily I did not have much up. And I surely won't have much up tonight since I lost all day.

I received an email from one of my customers here in Australia stating that there were no photos showing in my auctions. so he could not buy. I suggested to him to log onto www.ebay.com . not Australia. He had photos on my auctions immediately. Perhaps this will work on other sites as well.

Hello everyone - thanks for posting. We realize that some customers have experienced some site access problems over the past few days, and we have posted an announcement to explain what happened and the corrective actions that were taken:

http://www.vendio.com/siteupdate.html?popid=555

At this time we believe that the problem has been resolved. Thank you for your patience while we were busy working on this issue.

Best regards,

Diana

At least you know Vendio is paying attention to the posts here.

Did anyone else notice that 2-3 other threads that were added to today about the downtime - have been removed?
