I have some pendants i really want to put onto chains, but i need/and/like long chains ... the sizes you can slip over your head, and not bother with the clasp. ... some of the pendants have really small skinny loop thing, for the chain to slip thru ... can anyone point me in the right direction? .... thanks SO much in advance.

If there is a gemstone and jewelry show in your area,they usually have vendors who sell chains wholesale/

i have a wholesale buyer license, just would rather buy from someone off of here. fluffmeistress... whatcha got ... i like long chain that i don't have to fuss with the clasp, and the part to add the pendant to has to be small, because of the size of this pendants thingy ... (it has thingy envy) ... would like 1 silver, 1 gold.

Waaaaal, actually I don't have any unearthed, not at present. If they're nice sterling silver chains I usually give them to my MIL, who doesn't want to bother with clasps. Or I just scrap them as there is not much demand and I don't like to have a lot of stuff lying around.
Still, every box I open brings fresh surprises. I found a 14k yellow gold blue topaz necklace last night with a 12 carat stone and a $450 price tag. Hubby wants me to keep that one. We'll see. So there may be long chains lurking, you never know.
Anyone want to see my Egyptian Revival necklace (estate sale find)?

Aintrich--I'm with you on the length of chains! I use only silver chains (28" to 32" for my pendants but have been buying black silk cords (the fairly thin kind) for them. Did you know that length is back in style with the fashionistas? Live long enough. . . . I haven't bothered to shop yet but if you find someone here, or find a good site, please post it here. Adele
