Hi, all: As usual, I'm turning to you after trying for 15 minutes to find information on power seller status on the eBay site!

I got an e-mail a week ago inviting me to become a power seller. There was no message like that in "My eBay Messages," so I ignored it. However, I'm interested in seeing if it was genuine (I've had some good months lately). I've been all over the eBay site and can find no information about it. Help!

I really would like the designation just for a while to insure that I can get my e-mailed questions to eBay answered (such a concept, huh.)

Does the below help? I would say if that the invitation was not in your 'My Ebay' it was not legit. I get them all the time and I haven't sold over $1000.00 in a month for several months.
-------------------------------------------

How do I qualify?

Each month eBay automatically sends email invitations to qualified sellers. To qualify, members must:

Have been an active member for 90 days
Average a minimum of $1000 in sales per month, for three consecutive months
Achieve an overall Feedback rating of 100, of which 98% or more is positive
Have an account in good financial standing
Click here for a complete criteria list.

For more information, please check the PowerSeller FAQ or email PowerSeller customer support at [email protected].

For what it's worth- I got a newsletter in the mail today that said Bronze PowerSellers will soon be offered telephone support (now you have to be at the Silver level). A tiny bennie!

Go to the PowerSeller Portal and sign in. If it goes through, the email is genuine. Do you need a link? I'll BRB.

The "power seller portal" is what I'm actually looking for! I can find no link to the Power Seller site.

Yes, I may have qualified -- again -- after a lonnng time, to be a power seller, if only temporarily!

Later on I'll try to find that e-mail and run it through spamcop.

Thanks, everyone.

See if it allows you to log on to get to the portal page.

Zippy2dah, to post a link, simply start with [url*]post address here[*/url] - leave out the asterisks.

Some may recall that I attempted to regain FlowerSmeller status purely on a bet with the Stonecreatureabout how feedback percentages are calculated for FlowerSmellerhood. I could not login to the portal so contacted support.

Who said that since I had ignored their many emailed invitations to join, they stopped asking me.

After that I had no trouble signing up.

Update: I went to ebay.com/powerseller and kept getting a message that my browser was not accepting cookies. I went into my preferences, dinked around a bit, and then I was able to get into the powerseller site and am now (again) tadaaa, a powerseller. It may last only a month, though.

Thanks, all, for your suggestions.
