I don't know what we have here. They are from the estate of a relative who had lots of very good jewelry. The stone beads are cool to the touch; could they be jade, or ??? Thanks in advance.

Is this the true color of the stone, kind of moss green?
The close up of the beads look too cystallised to be jade ,either nephrite or jadeite.
one way to test and it is not perfect is to use a stainless steel knife ( no carbon content),a good knife will be the swiss army knife, and try to scratch it,if it cannot be scratch, then it is a hard stone harder than stainless steel, which means it could be jade, aventurine or any green color stone harder than steel.
This will include ruby, diamond and saphire and excludes serpertine (which is often referred to as Indian jade),jet, soapstone etc.

They are Aventurine. Not particularly valuable.
Aventurime is a green quartz. If you require more info check google.

Definitely green aventurine - as stated, not very valuable however, these stones are very pretty. If they are accompanied by a precious metal I think you would do fairly well, particularly with the extremely nice photos.

Sometimes with vintage beads if you examine the clasp under magnification you can get a clue as to possible value.
Hard to tell in these pics, but it looks like the clasp may be brass. Common, but not as nice as if it were silver or gold.
You'll have to get a bit creative with your marketing here as the Chinese have overwhelmed the market with cheap strands of new stone beads.

Hi, all: I'll go with green aventurine, and thank you VERY much. The clasps, magnified, on each say "sterling." I was pretty sure they weren't jade; all the jade I've seen has a rather solid color without all those flecks. And, yes, the color is a moss green.
