I was told on one of Ebay's Groups that you can get free delivery confirmation address labels on PayPal without prepaying the shipping. I was just on PayPal to try this and I only saw how to get them if you prepay the shipping. Am I missing something? Is there any place around that is like the old Shipping Assistant? I prefer to pay at the post office at the same time I buy the insurance.

There is a Shipping Assistant 3.0. Delivery confirmation is now 0.18 on 1st Class mail. You still pay at the P.O.

I can't use Shipping Assistant 3 because I have Windows Millenium. They didn't configure Shipping Assistant 3 for Windows ME because Microsoft has quit supporting it.

I can't say about the screwed up PayPal system, but on the USPS site you can print out a shipping label with FREE delivery confirmation without purchasing postage. However, you must ship either priority or express.
I do that at work as we have a postage meter and they prefer that we use that.
At home, I always purchase my postage at the USPS site, and that includes insurance. Saves me a ton of time not waiting in stupid lines.

Last year they started making people stand in line to ship even preprinted postage at my Post office and said they do that all over. Not so, in a town larger than mine I mailed a package last April and they had drop boxes inside for preprinted packages. Great still not at mine. Does your post office have these boxes with the large opening drop door? Just curious.
I try to catch the mail man he at least scans each package I have when he gets them. Saves on trips. I still take international shipments to PO, I didn't find printing international easy from home.
