Just great... give bidders more of a reason not to read descriptions and terms:

How much you want to bet that lots of bidders will place their bids based solely on the title? Yet another example of eBay's recent shotgun approach to changing their system. They don't know what's wrong, so they're changing everything in sight... even things that don't need changing!

Can't wait 'till all my eBay inventory is cleared out and I can say goodbye for good!

Me too, but it's going to be a long wait....I still have about 5000 rubber stamps to sell. I'm so tired of looking at them that I have to force myself to list. Can't believe I used to love it.

mcjane - I know how you feel. I have a room full of things that need to be listed, but I'm having a hard time finding the inspiration to do so. I doubt we're alone!!!

Another one of eBay's dumb ideas. Maybe they've decided they don't need the sellers? Now we'll really have bidders not reading the auctions.

Boy, I haven't listed for a while and was just out in the barn looking at stuff that needs to go the other day. After reading all the Ebay-has-become-such-a-pain-in-the-keester posts lately I'm thinking I probably won't be listing anything. I'll just wait for next year's barn sale.....

mcjane,

I know exactly how you feel! I've still got over 7000 items left in my inventory. Ebay used to be a fun way to make money... now it's definitely not fun, and there isn't that much money rolling in either!

I hope it doesn't mess up any Esnipe bidding - many of my customers use Esnipe, and I do to.

Speaking of listing fatigue! I still have hundreds and hundreds of those vintage matchbook covers (got thousands of them for $50 long ago). I can usually get anywhere from $3 to $30 for each one, but I can't muster the energy to list more. Sick of looking at them!!!

Cheryl & eauction I'm sure we are not alone in our feelings.

How about the days when you were always checking your auctions & almost always saw another bid, it was exciting. There was personal contact & you accepted & expected it because it was the way things were done.
Yes, it's faster & easier now, but the warm friendly feelings are gone along with the fun not to mention the monetary rewards.

I have some other stuff to list too, I look it over & wonder if it's worth the time, trouble & expence. Probably not.

Today, my enjoyment is Vendio.

I will beg to differ. I used to be able to list between 45-60 items an hour, not that I would do that many (except for FLD's). Then SYI 2.0 came out and it dropped to about 15 an hour. Now with the newest SYI, it is down to under 10 per hour, plus the extreme difficulty using the form as it jumps all over the place and/or a new window has to open for every little thing. What a PITA.

And if it's this hard to list items, imagine how difficult it has become for a buyer to find and purchase something.
