I have no idea, but those are really unusual items! Never seen anything like them. They look modern to me, 1950s?

Thanks roadsmith, I'd agree they are 1950's. She said they were old lol and her father was from France and they had them forever. Not a lot to go on.

Sometimes youngish people will call anything their parents had "old." I've seen it a lot at yard sales.
But I suppose there's a possibility this could be from, say, the 1920s or '30s. Have you posted it on the collectibles board (Ebay)?

nah , I didn't mess with the eBay board. I figured if no one here knew it wasn't worth nothing or much and its a bit worn on the red part. She can put a couple bucks on each piece . Thanks for all your responses roadsmith !

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't look very old to my eyes. I have a couple of candle holders with the same kind of "coating" on them and it's coming off. Actually, you can take your fingernail and flick it off. Those are no more than a couple of years old. I still see this style at places like Pier One.
Could be 60's or 70's, but I just don't see 1950s.
