We hear so much about nasty customers, thought I'd pass on something nice that happened today. Got a lovely card in the mail from a customer in the UK (who paid a small fortune for shipping) telling me she'd received the doll and was delighted with it. She thanked me for my efforts and said she'd keep looking at my auctions. It made my day that she'd taken the time to send me a hand-written card in thanks! There really ARE nice folks out there...

Yes, there really are LOTS of nice people I've had transactions with, too.
One elderly buyer with elegant handwriting became penpals with my mother (the item was hers) who had thought the art of letter writing had disappeared....they were both delighted.
I'm long time friends with 2 funny and interesting buyers.
I once shipped the wrong item to a buyer and she asked for the correct address and mailed it herself to the right person...and was very sweet about it.
I have met so many good people that the tiny percentage of grouches are just insignificant and instantly forgotten.
I treat every customer the same, I'm polite and friendly and even the grumpiest A--hole usually responds in kind.

I agree 100%.
There are some wonderful people out there.
I too have become fast friends with a lady who lives a long way away and we even telephone each other for a chat.
We had people in the UK who sent us travel brochures for their area and invited us to visit.
We had a buyer on Kaui who was a real pain whilst waiting for her purchases to arrive but turned out to be the nicest lady who when she heard that we had spent a very wet and flooded out vacation in Hawaii in March 2006 offered to meet us for drinks and dinner when we return!
I am a 'kill 'em with kindness' type of person when it comes to the grumpy ones and they mostly come around and turn out to be very nice folks who are just a bit leery of Internet sales and had expected to be taken advantage of.
