Hi, all. I have this old Christmas card sent in the 50s by the Disney Studio. It's signed--but I cannot decipher the name. Any ideas?

The first name could be Julia or Jules? The last name appears to start with a C.

Some good guesses here. I've posted my question and the photo on the eBay Disneyana and Movies boards. If anyone comes up with help, I'll let you all know.

I really see "Cowen" as the last name -- and "Ja..." for the first.

Can't seem to locate a James Cowen in any Disney searches though.

My first thought was Julius Ceasar but I have no idea why that could be associated with Disney......

Last name looks like Ja... Conners to me...I sent it to my brother to look it too. He worked for them for a few years. Maybe he will have a clue.

Thanks, chathamsue; I appreciate your sending it to your brother. I have it listed to start tonight, saying I can't identify the signature. But I'd love to be able to state who it was.

Generalfunds: Julius Caesar!?! So it's in Latin? (I wonder what his signature would be worth on the world market.)

sthoemke: I just googled John Cowen and John Cowan, got an electric bass player at Disney. I'm going to go with the CowAn spelling, since that's what shows on google. Thanks a LOT for the tip!

Where's the edit button?

I meant Cowan.

You can get quiet a few google hits. Looks like he has something to do with soundtracks and such.
