Here's something I didn't know, did you? Appears that FLDs on the US site are not visible by default on the UK site.

We thought we should let you know that listing an item around the time that our one-day promotions take place (such as this Thursday’s Half-Price Listing Day) will affect your item’s visibility on eBay.com.

If you list an item on eBay.co.uk from any time after 10am the day before a one-day promotion until 10am the day after a one-day promotion, that item will not be shown automatically on eBay.com, even if it meets the normal criteria for visibility (see our previous announcement for details).

This restriction on visibility on eBay.com will apply for the full duration of the item listing.

We’re doing this because the one-day promotions we run are specific to eBay.co.uk, and not available to sellers on eBay.com, and we want to make sure that we aren't putting our US sellers at an unfair disadvantage. The same restriction applies to US sellers during their one-day promotions, so that their items don’t appear on eBay.co.uk.

We realise that a lot of sellers will be disappointed about this, and we’re sorry if this restriction causes you any inconvenience.

I looked at the US announcement and don't see anything similar. Note the extended time sandwiching the one day listing "invisibility."

So, am I reading this correctly?

Thanks for the heads-up - wish eBay had told us sooner. I would have refrained from listing 17 UK auctions and 12 fixed price listings. I suppose the same goes for the Netherlands, Germany, France and Scandinavia... sigh!

That actually is quite fishy. If we check the "sell world wide" button, are listings should be showing up in ALL markets.

We paid for that service, even at a reduced rate, we still paid for it.

I'll bet that you can't find it on the US site as a practice like that would be highly illegal and eBay isn't going to admit to something like that here.

Must not be illegal in the UK.

All my listing is done on the usa site. I cannot find my auctions on the australian site if i look thru ebay.com.au.site. I also have to log into ebay.com.au. to pull up Australian articles available. It has been this way for about 6 months at least.

I just brought up the Au. site because I have buyers from there from time-to-time, and I saw that on the left there are 2 boxes to check, one is "worldwide", and when I clicked on that, my auctions came up.

So, if we pay a reduced listing fee, we get a reduced listing visiblity, and no one even tells us, does not seem fair. Doesn't seem fair to worldwide buyers looking for our items either.

Our auctions should show up if the searcher checks "worldwide". Lately, they have also been showing up in English-speaking countries, even if "world wide" is not checked. I wouldn't mind the exception made to exclude 10c listings if they would let us know when announcing the promo, like they did in the UK.
