I was suckered into clicking a sponsored ad on eBay - Free Designer Bag. No purchase neccessary! You get your choice of designers, I chose Dooney & Bourke and am to receive a multiple piece set MSRP $1020. All I had to do is answer 12 consumer research questions, which have nothing to do with purses. I get through the questions, only to find that to complete the process I have to START by completing 2 of the offers listed below - Free offers with S&H of about $4 each- what's the next step in the process? Has any one else been suckered into this? Edited to add, looks like most of the offers involve a subscription which automatically bills your credit card every month. In the words of Ralphie, CARAMBA!

Technically speaking, these schemes are NOT scams, but they ARE misleading...
Yes, one CAN actually receive a FREE...Laptop...High-End Purse...$500 Target Card, etc, etc, but...
The kicker is that you have to spend a bundle by joining Bally's or Columbia House DVD Club, or in a long line of "prpgrams" you HAVE TO sign up for... you get the picture?
There is a kinda sub-culture of folks who spend their days chasing these "deals" -- you can check it out at: www.scam.com

I see these all the time. As you did, I got to about page 3 when I realized what was up!! Don't even think about those "surveys" any more!!

Same here. Email looks like it's from Olive Garden for instance, two free dinners & then you go through a few pages & realize it's not at all about them. It's cheaper to go & pay for your dinner yourself.
