Does anyone have an ebay Anchor Store? Or, have you ever had an ebay Anchor Store? Do you see any benefit in such a store?

I am currently using an ebay Feature Store. However, I am seriously considering utilizing the Anchor Store in my projected plan for this year. The switch should take place sometime in April, once I fill the Feature Store with present inventory, unlisted product, and planned inventory levels.

What are your opinions?

I think you probably would see more benefit from buying one of Fluffy's Lottery Gift Card or using the same amount of $ and listing in Core. I hope you aren't basing this decision on clact's thread on the Stores board (he always posts half baked ideas and arrives at conclusions without much evidence to support those conclusions).

Perhaps things will change with new search .... have you seen other claims of benefits?

It looks like Marty (clact) gave up on his Anchor Store experiment. He did think he saw a benefit at first but diminishing returns through the holiday season.

Could someone review for us non-Store types the supposed benefits of an Anchor Store?

For $299 (vs $50 premium and 15.99 basic) you get a few extra benefits. You can read about them here http://pages.ebay.com/storefronts/subscriptions.html

Biggest advantages I can see are logo on store portal page, presence on shop ebay stores page* and advanced market research and more image storing (free picture manager subscription to 1GB).

* this is less of an advantage now that the "store" tab at the top of the search page shows store search results directly (don't need to type search words in again)
