wonder why sales are dropping on Ebay? if it's anything like the last 4 items I bought I know why.
One item was great. A $340.00 dress suit bought for $42.00 from bhexpress. Second thing I've bought from them and would buy again.
Second item didn't work. A rangefinder. The seller even put in the package a letter saying that all they could see through the lens was Er6 and to let them know if it didn't work. Well DUH!
Third item. Batteries for my home phone. The auction said the correct battery and the size was supposed to be 3AAA battery size. I got something that is 3AA battery size. Yes I ordered the correct battery but received something entirely different. Took 3 weeks to arrive via Hong Kong.
Fourth item. A top advertised as size L. What arrived was a top with the size label M in it. Clearly marked.

My purchases:
* Great pair of andirons, not well packed, but survived even though leg stuck out of the box wall .... An excellent deal. No communication from seller until package showed up. Twice actual postage -- $18 cost, $33 charge.
* Piece of china. "Excellent condition" was a 2" hairline on one end, a crack and hairline on the other, nibbles out of the foot. "I'm just a collector" says seller. Shipped back, seller agreed to refund both ways.
* Another piece of china. Excellent deal, wrapped to the hilt. Fair shipping, no communication.
* Waiting for number four for 3 weeks; wife is sick. "Very very sick." Supposedly on the way.
* A dreaded vendio checkout (can't decide whether I hate vendio or auctiva more). Insisted on charging me sales tax -- no provision for sales tax number. No response to emails. Then it tried to steer me into some sort of "click here for your reward". Kripes! Insisted on mandatory insurance at 1.65 for $7 item (traveling less than 100 miles). Not here yet.
Of course I'm still shopping ... is a bad streak this week? Usually, I do much better than that!
