ok so the seller of the phone batteries refunded my payment and asked that I send the other batteries back and just mark on there "return to sender - refused"

I told them I didn't think that the USPS would be willing to do that since the package had been opened and it would be on their dime to send it back to Hong Kong.

"Dear Customer

USPS will take care of the shipment no problems if you write refuse - return to sender."

So what do you think? Does the USPS do this?

No - once the package is opened they will not accept refused-return to sender. I have tried it once because I didn't know any better and they said NO!!!

Once you open the package you are responsible for the return postage.

To suggest that you do such a thing is rather sleazy.
