I recently launched a Vendio store to link from our website.
I have McAfee Anti Virus on my computer that checks websites for virus', spam, spy-ware, etc.
When I do a Google Search for one of our store items, it comes up right at the top of Google, but with a Yellow Caution symbol from McAfee stating the following:
vendio.com
Use caution.
1 yellow download
No e-mail received
Safe to use. [Reported] </b>
When I click "more info" I get this:
1 yellow download
In our tests, some downloads on this
site installed other unrelated
programs such as Dealio Toolbar.
I am obviously concerned that even though my listing appears directly at the top of Google, I will lose customers because of this warning against vendio.

You ought to post this over on the Sales Manager or Store Board. I have never seen this but I don't use MacAfee.
Beth
I also use SiteAdvisor and all of Vendio's sites come up yellow - even this board.
When I looked at details - I think it just advises that when visiting this site, Dealio Toolbar can be downloaded. I don't think that is a problem as long as people know that is the reason for the yellow mark. Someone unfamiliar with SiteAdvisor may not understand.
I'm sure someone else can give a more technical explanation.
The only people who see the color ratings on the sites are those who subscribe to SiteAdvisor and I think most would look at the details if alarmed.
You don't have to worry about just anyone unfamiliar with the program seeing it. I use it on Firefox and like I said, the yellow color shows. If I switch to IE where it is not installed, nothing shows for Vendio.

ok, fair enough... however, you can also download ebay's toolbar, and other things directly from ebay and buyers don't get this warning. just thought i would point that out.
