You can email me. I have somewhere around 50 books on Amazon now but I used to have several hundred listed there.

You must have a pro merchant account ,so there is a fixed fee every month?

Thank you all for replying to my need. I am now pushing my son to help dear old mom(he does this for a living working on Disney's main website). I am not one for being too technical but once you show me, I'll manage. I just sent him a few sites that I would like mine to resemble. Hopefully I won't have to hound too much for him to get me started.
Thank you all again who replied.

What kind of books do you sell?
If there is an ISBN number, you dont need an expert to help you to list on AMZN Marketplace.
There is also Half.com ,your books will stay on the site until sold while AMZN will ask you to relist every 60 days unless you have a promerchant account.

Any book that catches my fancy. From old to brand new. I also have a separate store that carries only cookbooks. Plus my clients who give me books as well. So anything. I also carry some items that my son picks up from Disney.

glassgrl...basically on amazon you punch in the ISBN or UPC and then it asks for the CONDITION, you can place a comment, then price, and quantity. DONE. You can spend the time to make categories, but I don't bother. Amazon has been a staging area for me. I will buy stuff and resell on there because of the ease of listing. Once in awhile I will remove items from amazon and go through the trouble of photos, writing description etc and list on ebay. "I" feel and I know there will be opposite opinions out there..that if someone wants an item, they search the web. If you are using shopping.com or other websites, Amazon comes up with the product. I have hundreds of Hot Wheels and toys on there, as long as you are in the top 5 lowest priced..your product will show. There are a lot of pros and cons...but if I can add 5-figure sales/year to my ebay sales...I am happy. the PRO MERCHANT is ONLY $40...if you DON'T have that, amazon takes another 99¢ per item when it sells. So if you are selling more then 40 per month, it is paid for. I usually move 100-200 per month. Amazon's catalog is HUGE....hardware...electronics...office supplies....toys.....housewares...and many others...also the books and movies. If I ever leave ebay...yeah..I would look into Amazons auction side of it also. Feedback is a smaller issue on there, payments are totally different...IT IS DONE..you buy it, YOU PAID for it immediately. NO added fees from paypal after paying fees already on ebay. BOTTOM LINE...NO LISTING FEES!!!!!

Listing fee may be free but Commission on AMZN Marketplace is 15%.
AMZN auction the last time I used it,it is 10 cents? per item and no one goes there.

hmm...15% versus 12% + % for paypal + flat fee listing fees....
They may not go to the auctions...but the MARKETPLACE is huge

where did you get 12%?
dont forget you have a fixed monthly fee of 40 dollars in lieu of 99 cents transaction fee on AMZN.
It depends on what you sell, collectibles and antiques do better on Ebay and you name your own shipping fee and as we all know (and Ebay knows),many of us are making money on shipping!

As of the 20th...example of a $10 item in your ebay store---> (10.00% of the closing value - was the old %) 12.00% of the closing value is the new %
As for making money on shipping...yes I pad ebay items myself. But I also love it when someone buys 4 Hot Wheels from me on Amazon...the buyer is charged $7.49 PER CAR!! for shipping, and I am allowed to ship 1st class. That kind of shipping profit would not last long on eBay..especially your DSR numbers.
ALL sites have their PROS & CONS...
What "I" feel are PROS about AMAZON-------
*****NO LISTING FEES
*****EASE OF LISTING AN ITEM(one night I listed 500 books in 1 1/2hrs)
*****INSTANT payment for any item you sell(NO PAYPAL FEES or "waiting for payment"
*****Amazon charges a FLAT shipping rate(I can sell items for 1¢ and make money totally on the shipping--Amazon charges $3.99 for shipping, I can ship the book for under $2)
*****Privacy...I can go to your ebay site and see how much you sold last month...Amazon, you can't do that.
*****CONTROL of INVENTORY...I can go right now and with only a few clicks of the mouse, review my ENTIRE inventory and where MY PRICES are with ALL the others on Amazon...AND make changes! eBay...you have a much much longer process.
***** Your items can easily be found while shopping the web. Go to www.SHOPPING.com and punch in Strawberry Shortcake Fruity Beauty Salon then click on either AMAZON MARKETPLACE or the item itself....you will see that I am one of the sellers that has this item. eBay items come up in Google..but individually...

I've never sold anything on Amazon.
How does one attach images from Vendio to one's listings on Amazon Marketplace?

attaching photos....you can UPDATE your product information page. You submit the new photo or description to Amazon, they review it and make changes if they agree. That is one of my CONS with Amazon, NOT all items MATCH waht the photo or description says/shows. Example would be SANFORD HIGHLIGHTERS YELLOW 12PK....Amazon shows photo of MULTI colors and also has variety listed in description...but title states 12pk YELLOW. Also have had photos & descriptions changed AFTER I have listed something.

If Ebay goes the route of AMZN MARKETPLACE with brand name goods, say a SHARP UX-184 fax machine and it shows a stock photo of the machine, then cometh the Ebay sellers with their description-
-'as is' I dont know if it works or not,as I have never tried .
-missing the cord, but would not deter the beauty of the item
-dirty and smudged with black grease, all you need to do is wipe it gently with soap and hot water.
-the receiver is my own replacement from an old Brother fax machine,I asked my mother to test it and she said it works, but dont take her words for it,you should test it once you receive the machine.
