Look guys,

Petitions fall on deaf ears. Your boycott will fail, simply because there is no visibility. You're looking for strength in numbers but you don't have the numbers.

I can suggest two things, either of which would be far more powerful than a boycott, both of which require you getting off your rear ends.

1) Harness the power of Web video. Take your camera into your eBay room and video some of your best stuff. Voiceover: "Here's what you WON'T find on eBay soon." It would work best if sellers of collectibles got together to produce their own videos and someone put it all together in a 3 minute spot with a voiceover and some catchy royalty-free music.

2) Live media event with big splashy signs, maybe even costumes, in front of eBay headquarters. Call all the local media outlets. Prepare a press release. Invent an organization to sponsor the event. Have someone there to take pictures for you. Stay on the sidewalk, don't block the driveways, and you can embarrass eBay all day long. Force them to see the faces of the very people they're trying to screw over. It works.

Fluffy...you are one smart cat!!! I'm a Vendio user and a "Lurky Loo" on this chat line and I've had mixed feelings about your entries. If you lack anything at all in tact, you more than make up for it in saavy. Your recent comment about the "problem" for eBay users (especially small timers like me) hits the nail on the head. All of this hullabaloo is going to die down and eBay will do whatever they want and miost of us will just roll over. Thanks for your comments and keep up the good work...maybe sprinkle on a little sugar now and then??

And, you forgot a letter, a real letter, on paper, not email.

Great suggestions. But then, it is so much easier to sign an online petition.

When reading E-Bay boards it looks like a lot of Sellers are just giving up and quiting. For those of us that are staying, we need to find ways to increase our sales. I need to get my customers to buy more than one item at a time. Find ways to get more repeat customers.

Just wanted to let you know about this new website that pays us up to 36% of the seller's fees whenever we buy something on eBay.

We can also get cash back at other retailers and earn extra cash when other people shop.

Just use the link below to check it out and let me know what you think!

If I may rephrase,

"When reading eBay boards, it looks like a lot of sellers are saying they're just giving up and quitting."

During the late Stores debacle, many people threatened to close their Stores who in fact did not close their Stores.
