Who were these two. Have you heard about them before? Evidently they are sellers and have a good knowledge on what eBay did.
That was interesting............but at the end after reading all that I know that my listing decreased by 5 cents and went up dollars. Well not dollars just cents, but enough that I will certainly sell less or none at all.
It was quite interesting in the break down.

I thought it was hard to read. What is the Deutsche Bank's involvement? I didn't like their definition of what makes a "good" seller or that eBay should base all decisions on # of transactions. I take it it that the IMA is a PESA wannabe?

When PESA started charging dues and went off eBay several members felt that the organizers had set up the new PESA/ECMTA as a for-profit venture and set out to start their own group.
Eventually, IMA also went off eBay and started charging dues as well, but set up the Corp as a non-profit. As a non-profit they could no longer restrict membership so it is open to one and all.
IMA will hold a conference in Las Vegas in conjunction with the big trade-show the first week in March. Many top level ebay execs are scheduled to appear.
I wouldn't call IMA a "PESA wannabe". Both organizations have top echelon sellers participating in the discussion groups and on the Boards and committees.

I'd say Joefriday2's a middle echelon seller (looks like he's had 7 sales in the last day?) I think IMA conference is open to any Powerseller that wants to come. What's with the Deutsche Bank?

I think it was hard to read because it was transcribed by Deutsches Bank - there was an audio but I never could get it to work. I think DB wanted to set up the call for investor insight into seller reaction to new ebay pricing and policy. But I don't know.
I don't think IMA membership is even restricted to Power Sellers. Most mega-sellers think they won't qualify to be PS'ers once the DSR criteria are added (no score below 4.6 on ANY of the 4 ratings). In fact the reason both organizations went off ebay was so they could include other channels of on-line selling. I think Amazon offered PESA members some kind of grandfathering in to their categories. IMA says they have a something big to announce at their conference as far as a new channel and members will be grandfathered in there too.
I used to belong to both and kept PESA for a year after they started charging dues but never could remember my user name and PW to log in to the discussion board once it left eBay. Ditto to the IMA board. I finally decided that I had about all I could handle on my plate now and growing my business was not in my plans. I just want to maintain and hopefully ebay will make that possible.
