I don't think it's true. Ebay won't let me make more than 2 payments a day. I get an "Excessive payments" message.

Aw, c'mon, you don't think someone would tap into anti-eBay sentiment by posting something just as plausible as the Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe or the obnoxious United Airlines frequent flyer demanding special treatment.

Be careful here. Some people get testy because they want to believe the stories are real.

I've been able to make as much as 4 payments in a day. 300? Not likely unless made over the course of a month or more. Still, it is a funny thought.

Here is what the link says

As I was listing some store items today, all 3 cent listings, all of a sudden I could no longer list anything.

I was getting this dang message "Over the limit"

It seems my 300.00 ebay bill for the month needed to be paid early if I want to continue listing more items!! WTH?

Ebay raises its fees and LOWERS it billing limits on sellers.

So what did was this.

I ran off and paid my ebay bill so I could continue listing my items.

I figured it was time to fight fire with fire!

I made 300 one dollar payments with my discover card and paid my ebay bill in full for the month.

I wonder how much money ebay will make on this one once Discover Card gets done taking their cut off of 300 different 1 dollar payments?

I was going to use paypal but being an ebay company too I use the discover card so I could HAMMER my point home.

Now why didn't I think of that. I already use my Discover for my ebay bill. What a great way to stick it to them right back. Plus, just think of all the cash back you would get.

This is what everyone should do to protest. Don't stop listing, just pay one dollar at a time.

Stone, it's still a lie, try making 5 payments in a 24-hour period,

Would someone explain the benefit of making 300 payments ?
Since I only have one credit card and no credit card debt, I'm not into the details.

There is no benefit except the sense that ebay is having to deal with the hassle of applying all of those payments. I think eBay must have a deal with the CC companies about per transaction fee - but if they don't, they could get hit with costs exceeding the payment amount.

Thanks, Neglus, but isn't that a teeny tiny drop in the ocean for ebay? I can't see where it would hurt them.

Trying to hurt a corporation is tilting at windmills and will never work....they rule.
