I haven't used it personally. I saw another Gallery that someone asked about on the Stores Board that looked interesting too (also free):

Neglus thanks for the info. Is anyone using Crosspitch? I like the fact thats its free... well I am sure they roverize it but I reallly don't give a rats behind about that. If it gets em into my store and they buy something all is good in my world.

I read that thread on ebay and looked at the people who were using it. In both cases the gallery was right after the picture and before the description.

The trouble (I have heard) with Auctiva gallery is dependability (or lack thereof) and slow loading times.

Crosspitch looks good but I would only want to use it if it works below the description.

I noticed they could also put one in your non-ebay store. That might be interesting for my ecrater store.

i use auctiva exclusively, and i like their galler for the price (free)... only a really small tad slow in loading up all your recent listed items, but for that price, it works for me! ... i like their templates too.
and yes, the gallery scrolls just above your auction item but that doesn't bother me a bit.

I've used the GALLERY for 3 YEARS, and have never noticed this???

They are no more & no less reliable than VD, and a hell of a lot CHEAPER...

I wouldn't use ANY FREE service as my IMAGE HOST, but the GALLERY is GREAT...If ya don't like the placement, just use the MANUAL HTML feature like me & Ralphie does...

Tom, when I click on a pic in your Auctiva gallery in your Vendio store, it still gives me a message "page not found".

Tom's Auctiva gallery gives me the same "not found" message. So if it doesn't go anywhere, what good is it, even if it's free? Besides, nothing is ever free. Ever.

I use Auctiva Gallery and you can have it show either at the top or bottom of your listings. I rather like it at the top because we know that Buyers don't read to the bottom anyway!

I am now using Auctiva and I do like how easy it is to post to eBay. It is a slow process to upload to Auctiva, but it's still way faster than listing to eBay directly.

That said, if the only reason your going to go with Auctiva is for the gallery, I think you maybe a bit disappointed. On original listings, it works well. I have trouble on relists though with it showing the wrong images. I generally do relists without the gallery and have about the same sell through rate with or without the gallery.

I can say one thing though. I have dial up and it does take a considerable more time to load when the gallery is turned on.

Overall, if you are going to utilize the whole Auctiva product, then it's worth your time. If not, then I would skip it.

Stone: You are not using Vendio for anything? I saw some threads on the eBay store board about vendio raising prices and people looking for alternatives. Auctiva was the main suggestion.

I was puzzled by that comment about Vendio raising prices because I thought they weren't going to do that. I think what happened is that they discontinued the yearly plan on the anniversary of that poster's plan.I don't see the yearly plan as an option any more. I can't imagine that they would really charge $200 a month for image hosting when you can get it everywhere for free.

I do use Vendio. For these chat boards. Other than that. Nope.

Paying for a service like this isn't in my business plan.
