For all of you boycotting ebay out there, it is still going on and a new strike is scheduled for May 1st. Don't be tempted by the cheap listings. They wouldn't be offering them if they didn't need people to list. The way you make a difference is to not buy or sell.

I have not heard of another boycott but if you ask me the last one didn't work. Not enough sellers joined in.
I did but will not on this one. But I won't be doing too many 99 cent listing either.

I will not strike but I will not list any 99 cent auctions.
If I was selling things to list like that, I would donate them all to GoodWill. Then,I would go find me a good book, remote control, a glass of wine and get in bed!

While at Goodwill...

I've found a lamp for $15.00... sold it for $300 on ebay.

I've found a piece of art $10.00... sold it for $1200.00

I've found a shirt for $7.00... sold it for $300.

I've found a stereo for $20.00... sold it for $400.00.

All on ebay and using 99 cent opening bids. Ironically, most everything I sell is found at a thrift store, garage sale, estate, or on the side of the road. lol.

Then again, there have been a few things that net me zilch, but those are few and far between.

This week's finds include a piece of art that I paid $50 for, and will get over $1000 and two lamps that I paid $15 each and will fetch $100-200.

I've cut back 90% on listing over the last month... and have decided to only go for higher dollar items that will sell rather than let feebay collect on items that are riskier sells.

Actually my DH takes a load of stuff to the dump. I imagine it could be sold.

I take things to GW routinely but if it piles up though,I have him to take it to the dump.

shag, You have a very good eye for what sells, as for me the few things I bought at Goodwill & listed never got a single bid.

My neighbor came home with a heavy & great looking brass desk lamp, 5.00 & a wheelchair for her Mother, like new, 10.00.

Maybe I don't get there early enough cause I never saw anything like she bought when I was there.

around here we are about ready to give up on the thrift stores.

I think the people that eBay let go have taken jobs at the goodwill/thrift stores here.

Salvation Army store STOPPED bringing in TOYS!

Thrift Store has hard cover books...$2.00!

Just a couple of the examples of CAPITALISM in America!

I NEVER find anything at thrift stores and I have tried numerous times. I think the employees take all the good stuff. My mom used to work at one and that is what they did there. If anything good came in they either take it or call a friend who would be interested.

Shag, I wish I had your eye for items!

Why not fall for it, I bought a hugh load of paperback books, hardbacks and audio books earlier this week. If I list everything starting at a penny and sell part of it, I will do great this week,of course part of it was already sold and I've already made my money back plus. Keep the boycott up its great for business.

With those numbers, it don't make much sense to risk giving my items away for next to nothing.
