Now what! I am trying to search completed listings and I get a notice in red that the search & browse system is temporarily unavailable. Try searching by item number.

Yes , I noticed it about 2 hours ago. Probably someone loaded a new search program yesterday and it went bad today and no one works on weekends except us. Never get sick on a weekend at a hospital or if you need ebay.

LOL, how true about the hospital. I spent 2 1/2 days in the ER waiting for a room recently so I could have emergency surgery, yep, on a weekend.

Earlier today all my saved searches were coming up "Bad server response" but when I did a search from the eBay advanced search box I would get results. The saved searches now seem OK.

This was happening last night as well (notice posted in the ebay Announcements that the problem was resolved). Perhaps the system can't really handle the volume of listings generated by the penny listing sale.

I've been browsing and buying all day, seemingly with few problems. It's fun to see how some sellers are dealing with the one cent sale - some have listed their items in as many categories that they remotely pertain to - SMART for a penny each. I felt sorry for a seller who's temporarily disabled with 4 teenage kids- he started everything at a dime and most items had one bid - I bumped them all up to 99 cents without winning any of them. I am winning on 125 items so far...
