My husband just brought back a Golden Jubilee mug from England, and it says that is was designed in England for "The House of Vanguard". I can't find a reference to that anywhere. Have you come across it?

Amber...I am sorry but that has me stumped!

The only thing I could think of was that it could have had something to do with Vanguard Press ( who have since merged with Random House).
Maybe long time readers could buy the Mug!!
That's stretching it a bit but all I can come up with.

Is this the same "House of Vanguard"? They make souvenir items like mugs (see the bottom of the page - address)

Thanks Neglus, that has to be the one. It is a souvenier mug. Because it said "designed in Enland", it suggested it was not made there. It has me stumped too otteropp. I thought I knew English china. I googled it and found nothing.
You guys are great!
