Anyone else receive this survey? It's legit as it was addressed to my actual name. Here is a copy of the e-mail.

Dear stonecold:

In a continuing effort to provide our users with the best possible online payment experience, we randomly select registered users, like you, to participate in surveys. Your feedback will help us enhance your PayPal experience. We appreciate your taking a moment to respond.

Upon completion of the survey you will be entered into a prize drawing to win $1000.

To complete the survey, simply click on the Web address shown below (or copy the address into your browser).

Link removed for safety

Sincerely,

PayPal

Since I am local to eBay/PayPal, they usually just drag me down to North First Street, San Jose, and beat my opinion out of me. Pay is $200 in gift cards.

I don't do any survey work that doesn't pay immediately. And it never takes "just a moment" to respond. You don't know if they ever award the prize -- my guess is usually not.

Well, just got done doing the survey and the jist of it was to find out how much I prefer to use PayPal.

Needless to say, I gave them very low stars (like Ebay). I told them how Google Checkout is kicking their rear ends for service and safety, not to mention price.

Hi, Stone! I have to agree with you about Googlecheckout. I love it. I once got a payment they thought might be suspicious. They completely checked it out before putting the money in my account so I could ship. The payment turned out to be legit, but I was glad they were on the ball.

Google checkout has been great so far and it is alot cheaper than paypal. I had one client who was having trouble making payment on paypal and she had no trouble completing the payment on google. I have compared the prices and it is saving me money (rather than paypal) and my preferred method of payment!

Too bad ebay won't allow Google Checkout as a payment method.

Competition for paypal, not in ebay world!

That's not quite true. If you let people know about Google Checkout in your WBN, then it is outside of eBay and they can do nothing about it. You cannot offer it on eBay's site, but you sure can after the fact.

That is true, but so many of my buyers pay me by paypal before I can even get around to sending them a WBN (which I would not put the google info in the ebay one).

Very true and those wouldn't apply. But for the people that don't pay the same second they bid, you get that chance.
